Trouble Wednesday

Today was a troubled day. First, there was an altercation at my school since it's a shared space. None of my teachers or friends were involved. We just got to hear it and see a little bit. It was not fun. But we had arts and crafts to distract us a little. Thank goodness it was only two children. Then I got told there was another COVID case, but it's a teacher. So we got sent home early. Like 11 am, I was home. So I got home and scheduled a COVID test. I colored in my coloring book, ate lunch, and then got tested. It was not fun. After that, I went to fill up my gas tank- 115 miles to empty. Probably the lowest I have gone so far. It also did not kick my butt. Then I came back home and checked my email and saw I had a package. So I went back out this time without my car and got my package. It was my printer. It took me two tries to set it up, but I got it- tonight. I set it up all by myself. It feels great to have a printer. No, I didn't read the directions fully, so I did channel my inner mom. Tomorrow and until further notice, let's hope Oct 23 I have to be virtual teaching. #Ihateteachingonline #onlinelearningisnotmyfav #covidsucks #ihavethebestaunty

Tuesday

Today was a good day in the salt mines. My schedule has been changed to fully in person! No online! For one of the classes, we went outside for a project, and the children were lining up, and one of them told me to spread my arms out to make sure I am six feet away. It was funny! I'm bringing some of my books that my parents brought up. So I can better bond with the children.

Thurs., Fri., Sat., Sun., and Mon

I have been very busy/lazy in updating my blog.

First, on Thursday, I went to school and helped out. It was good.

Friday, my parents came up, and I had Teams meeting with my service group. It was good. Then after that, the Sullivans and two of my roommates went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. It was yummy.

Saturday, I woke up early in anticipation of my parents. They arrived around 11, and we switched my summer clothing into a bin and my winter clothing in to ready to go. Then we had lunch, and we headed off towards Jamestown. We went to see my mom's side of the family that is up here. It was great to re-meet everyone that came. Too bad my parents didn't listen to stop at Walmart.

Sunday, we were still in Jamestown. We went out to Southern Tier Brewing Company. Yummy grilled cheese. Then we drove back to Buffalo and went to mass. Then we got Chinese food for dinner. Parts of it were good, and others not too tasty.

Today my parents left. I had a rough time getting myself motivated. But I finally did and went to Target to get groceries. It went well. I hung up some Halloween decor in the apartment.
