Today was a fun day. I went into one class and stayed until they had a snack. Then I went to a different class. I had quite the experience. I stayed there until they went to recess, and their teacher told me that the co-teacher was leaving early and would love to help. So I went looking for my boss to ask but couldn’t find her. Another teacher asked if I could help feed a child. I did. This child was adorable. The child is nonverbal, but that child will tell you when it wants more by grabbing your arm and pulling it close.

Meanwhile, I messaged my boss, saying I could cover. She said yes. Then I watched this child get its walker and take off. I followed that child until the teacher came. I ate lunch and went upstairs. I stayed upstairs until the class went down for lunch. The teacher was leaving early, and I wanted to see how the class was run. Cleaned the lunchroom so one teacher could eat before she went to fix her car. Then I went upstairs with the class and finished my day there. I helped with dismal more than today- I was the hallway monitor. Today I walked a student down and then stayed outside.

Monday, I was in charge of a classroom again. It was a different class than Friday. It had almost all teenagers or just boys and was interesting. We did a lot of math and the calendar. Two of the students like not listening to directions or arguing about where they are supposed to go; when they come back, the boy doesn't get their toy back. So, there was unhappiness. They turned it around after lunch. The one boy still had some dismal behavior. I still have said toy—three boys in total.

Tuesday today, I was in an older class. It was me helping the lead teacher. They ate lunch at 1:00, and I was starving. I did not do much. I did try to be activated because it was cold in that classroom. At dismal, I had to help another coworker understand one of his students. In the room, I organized the fake money for the teacher. Mix of boys and girls, but there were four of them. I had fun with both classes.

Friday was a good first day back. I had to cover for a teacher. So, I got to be in charge of the classroom. We didn't do much of anything. I let them hang out. One kid was willing to do work, but the other wasn't. The third child just couldn't sit in a seat for some time. But they did read, and I am not going to argue with that. I didn't know they had gym at 9:30, and I looked to see it was 9:40, so I was like a longer recess for them. I brought books (3D books about the jungle, dinosaurs and some others, Blueberries for Sal and Dear Ms. Larue) and a movie. Ratatouille. After lunch, the children started to get a little cranky, well, one of them did. I got bit. Also was stepping on me. We watched some of the movie I bought in. It felt so nice to be missed and asked how you were feeling. And the coworkers saying how they missed me. My boss was very grateful that I came in. I can't wait to go back Monday for work.
